Starting From Zero: The Reality of Beginning a Small Business

The reality of starting a business is that you don’t need a huge space to start a business especially when you are starting from 0. Because I’m starting from 0 I’m starting with just two dressers of a drawer. I honestly thought to myself that I need to “wait for the perfect time of having a huge space to start my small business” but in reality I didn’t need to start where I should go someday.

“In order to be great, you got to be great to start” - Les Brown

Before coming up with starting my small business from two dressers, I previously saw a YouTube who started her small business in her closet. I asked myself “why not start today?” I started coming up with a sticker/keychain collection called The Unbothered Beary Much Diva. I wanted this collection to be a great comeback from not being that active on my socials and to hopefully help someone with their confidence/bravery. This is what my brand is about, growth/confidence, bravery, and overall development in whatever stage you are in.

I cleared out my two dressers to make space for organzing my inventory and tools that I will be using for packing future orders hehe…really and literally you can start with what you have.

If you have these things PLEASE START NOW:

  • Phone or iPad

  • Paper or digitally (if digital you can send your designs/art to manufacterer)

  • Money $

  • Box or dresser/drawer (even if it’s just one dresser of a drawer)

Yes these 4 things are all you need to start your small business, these 4 things are what I am starting with to start my small business journey. If you want to join me on my small business journey and want more insights please join my newsletter.
